Respect is part of every good connection. By accessing or using LubDub, you agree to these Terms and any applicable policies referenced here. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Some features may have additional terms presented when you use them.
Agreement to these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LubDub's website, applications and related services (“Service”).
In these Terms, “LubDub”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the organisation operating the Service. “You” and “your” refer to the person accessing or using it.
By creating an account, accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to comply with them and our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf.

LubDub is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the Service.
By using LubDub, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms.
You must not use the Service if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law or if your account has been suspended or terminated for reasons that legally prevent you from accessing it.

- Promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age or intentions.
- Use the Service in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise or the activity results from circumstances for which you are not legally responsible.
Community rules and acceptable use
LubDub is designed to support genuine connections. You agree to treat other members respectfully and not use the Service in ways that harm, deceive, intimidate or exploit others.
You must not use LubDub to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, bully or intimidate another person.
- Share hateful, discriminatory, violent or unlawfully abusive content.
- Defraud, scam, extort or deliberately mislead other members.

Your content and permission to use it
Your ownership
As between you and LubDub, you retain any rights you hold in content you submit, such as profile text, photographs, messages or feedback, subject to the rights of other people and applicable law.
Permission needed to operate the Service
When you submit or display content through LubDub, you grant us permission to host, store, reproduce, format, display and transmit that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure and maintain the features you use.
This permission is limited to those purposes and applies subject to your settings, these Terms, the Privacy Policy and applicable law. The permission should end when the relevant content is removed or the applicable need ends, except where continued processing or retention is reasonably required for legitimate operational, safety, dispute-resolution or legal reasons.
Your responsibility for submitted content
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content you provide and that doing so does not unlawfully infringe another person's rights. You are responsible for content you post or send.
Feedback
If you share suggestions or feedback about LubDub, we may use them to evaluate and improve the Service, subject to applicable law and without disclosing your personal information in ways inconsistent with our Privacy Policy.
Safety and interactions with members
LubDub may provide tools to support member discovery, communications and safety. However, online interactions involve people whose identity, intentions and behaviour we cannot fully control.
You should:
- Use good judgement when communicating with or meeting other members.
- Avoid sharing passwords, financial details, verification codes or sensitive personal information.
- Be cautious if someone asks for money, pressures you to leave the platform or behaves deceptively.
- Choose a public place for an initial in-person meeting and tell someone you trust about your plans.
- Stop communicating and use available reporting tools if someone makes you feel unsafe.
LubDub does not guarantee that every member is who they claim to be or that every interaction will be safe, compatible or successful. Nothing in these Terms excludes a responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
Reports, moderation and enforcement
If reporting or moderation features are available, you may use them to raise concerns about content, conduct, accounts or safety. Please provide truthful information and avoid submitting knowingly false or malicious reports.
Where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, LubDub may review reported activity, restrict content, limit access to particular features, request further information or take other proportionate steps to protect members and the integrity of the Service.
Any action will depend on the circumstances, applicable law, available evidence and our operational capabilities. We do not promise to detect or remove every harmful item or prevent every instance of misconduct.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may notify affected users about significant action concerning their accounts and provide a way to ask questions or challenge a decision.
LubDub's intellectual property
The Service and its original materials, including its branding, logos, design, text, graphics, software and other content, may be protected by intellectual property laws.
Except as permitted by law or expressly authorised by LubDub, you must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, publicly display or create derivative works from protected Service materials.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of LubDub's intellectual property to you. You may use the Service only in accordance with these Terms and any permissions we expressly provide.
Third-party services and links
The Service may include links to websites, applications or services operated by third parties. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, LubDub does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability or practices. This does not limit any responsibility that applicable law places on us.
You should review the applicable terms and privacy notices before using a third-party service or sharing information with it.
Service availability and changes
We aim to maintain a useful and reliable Service, but features may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical problems, security concerns or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Features may be added, changed, suspended or discontinued where reasonably necessary for operational, safety, legal or product reasons. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice or obtain any required consent.
If LubDub later offers paid subscriptions, purchases or other paid features, the applicable price, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms should be disclosed separately before purchase.
Suspension, termination and account deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time. If account deletion is available, follow the relevant instructions provided in the Service.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, security risks, suspected unlawful conduct, risks to members or other legitimate operational reasons, subject to applicable law.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice or an opportunity to address or challenge the action. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or procedures that are required by law.
Account termination does not automatically require immediate deletion of every record. Information may be retained or deleted according to the Privacy Policy and applicable legal obligations.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, that every feature will always be available, or that the Service will meet every individual expectation.
We do not guarantee specific dating, friendship, compatibility or relationship outcomes. Connections and interactions depend on many factors outside our control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, statutory rights or other protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, LubDub will not be liable for losses that are indirect or not reasonably foreseeable in connection with your use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable consumer protection or other laws.
Any specific liability limits, exclusions or remedies must be reviewed for the laws that apply to the entity operating LubDub and to its users.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and disputes connected with the Service are subject to the governing law and dispute-resolution procedure that lawfully applies to the LubDub operating entity and the relevant user.
Before publication, LubDub must specify the applicable governing law, the appropriate jurisdiction or dispute process, and any required consumer dispute procedures. Those details must not conflict with mandatory rights under applicable law.
If you have a concern, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to understand and resolve it.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service, its features or applicable requirements evolve. When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it as required by applicable law. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect will be subject to the requirements of applicable law concerning acceptance and notice.
Contact and general provisions
If you have questions about these Terms or need help with the Service, use the Contact Us page.
Before publication, identify the legal entity operating LubDub and add its legal name, registered or business address, and a monitored contact channel.
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision does not necessarily waive the right to enforce it later.
These Terms should be read with any additional terms presented for a particular feature. Where terms conflict, the applicable order of precedence should be specified before launch.
Let's clear things up.
If something in these Terms isn't clear, reach out to the LubDub team and let us know what you need help with.
